Administered by the National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation (NRAEF) and accredited by American National Standards Institute and the Conference for Food Protection the ServSafe® Food Safety and ServSafe® Alcohol Programs are nationally recognized and accredited programs. 


ServSafe® Food Safety

Food safety impacts your customers, your employees and your business. With so much on the line, the right preparation means everything. Servsafe® meets and exceeds the minimum food safety certification required by the State of Ohio for shift management. 

Servsafe® Food Protection Manager Certification covers: 

  • Sanitation
  • Preventing Foodborne Illness
  • The Safe Food Handler
  • Hazards in the Flow of Food
  • Monitoring Time and Temperature
  • Crisis Management
  • Cleaning and Sanitizing
  • The Integrated Pest Management (IPM) Program
  • Government Regulation of Food Service Operations
  • Food Safety Training for Staff 

For groups of 8 or more custom scheduling is available. The 16 hour class can be scheduled over 2 or 4 days. 

Cost of class with book is $199.00. 

Cost of class without book is $129.00

ServSafe Alcohol™

Responsible alcohol service is an issue that touches your business, your customers and your community. That’s why the National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation (NRAEF) developed the ServSafe Alcohol Program to raise the bar in responsible alcohol service training and certification.

For groups of 8 or more custom scheduling is available. The 8 hour class can be scheduled over 2 or 4 days.

Cost of class with book is $55.00.

Cost of class without book is $99.00

  • must have book with exam sheet at the beginning of class

Exam only $25.00

  • exams are scheduled once per TRTC academic term

Hospitality & Restaurant Management Exam

Exam only $45.00

  • exams are scheduled once per TRTC academic term

For all classes and exams listed above payment is due at the beginning of the class or exam session. No shows or cancellations without 24 hours notice will be accessed a $10.00 administration fee.
