Professional development certifications are designed for people who want to advance their careers while still participating in the workforce.
Dietary Manager Certificate
Hospitals, extended care facilities, schools and other institutional kitchens are in need of skilled foodservice professionals. Dietary managers work with nutritionists and registered dietitians to provide foodservice for non-commercial facilities ensuring the food is prepared in a safe and cost effective manner while meeting the specialized nutritional needs of their clientele.
This class provides all course material required to take the State of Ohio Dietary Management Certification Exam.
Twelve week class; student meet for 3 1/2 hours four days a week. Students must also complete 125 hours of practicum training at a healthcare facility.
Total Cost $3,300 Financial Aid may be available for qualified students.
Foodservice Management Professional FMP® Certificate
This Certification is designed for Professionals already working in the restaurant, foodservice and hospitality industry who want to improve their professional skills.
The certified Foodservice Management Professional® (FMP) designation is a measure of professional achievement for food service managers. The National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation awards the FMP® designation to managers who achieve a qualifying score on a written examination, complete a series of courses that cover a range of food service management topics, and meet standards of work experience in the field.
This class provides all course material required to take the National Restaurant Association ServeSafe® Certification Exam.
Twelve week class; student meet for 3 1/2 hours four days a week.
Total Cost $2,450.00 Financial Aid may be available for qualified students.
Restaurant Supervision Certificate
The Restaurant Supervision Training Program is for individuals already working in the foodservice industry who want to; improve career and advancement opportunities by demonstrating a level of measured excellence in foodservice.
Eleven week class; student meet for 3 1/2 hours four days a week.
Total Cost $1550.00 Financial Aid may be available for qualified students.
Professional Bartending Certificate
The Professional Bartending Certificate is designed to help individuals who want earn a living in responsible alcohol service.
Forty hour class; scheduling varies.
